Description:
The Customer & Category Strategy Manager position is responsible for developing and delivering training programs, category playbooks, and future vision materials that enhance the product knowledge and sales skills of our team and customers. This role requires a deep understanding of our beer, non-alcoholic beer, and beyond beer portfolio, industry trends, and effective training techniques to ensure our sales team is well-equipped to represent our brand and drive sales. This role maintains a strong connection to our US category strategy team and global counterparts to ensure our external customer content is aligned and leverages work completed across other regions. This position oversees the customer meeting process, manages intake with account teams and multi-functional resources, and facilitates customer engagements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customer Content Owner: serve as the primary owner of customer content, ensuring alignment & collaboration with US / Global counterparts. Manage the intake process in partnership with our Key Accounts team.
- Shopper Strategy & Insights: engage in innovation strategies (i.e. how to drive shopper engagement and conversion). Leverage shopper insights to inform category strategies, commercial priorities, etc.
- Category COE: support the centralization, democratization & continuous improvement of category processes & tools. Lead the deployment of assortment & shelving playbooks and resources to our sales organization.
- Category Future Strategy: Act as the key owner of our internal category strategy refresh, integrating the latest insights from global studies to shape forward-looking category strategy.
- Capability Building: Design & deliver product training for the sales team to deepen knowledge on topics like: beer styles, pouring techniques, customer interactions, beer and food pairings, beer culture and trends etc.
- Event Planning & Execution: Help organize and execute larger sales meetings with external customers, including content development, PowerPoint builds, logistics coordination, and engagement activities.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post secondary education
- Commitment to staying up to date with industry trends, new beer styles, and brewing innovations.
- Experience working with / managing external stakeholders
- Ability to effectively convey complex information in an engaging and understandable manner
- Strong presentation & public speaking skills are essential
- Strong critical path management & project management skills
