Description:

Coast Capital Savings, a member-owned cooperative with over 80 years of experience and nearly 600,000 members, is seeking motivated Customer Advice Specialists to join their team across the Greater Victoria Region. In this role, you will be the frontline expert assisting members with their everyday banking needs while promoting financial wellness and building strong customer relationships.

This position begins as a Ready-Now opportunity, where you will undergo comprehensive training at the Broadmead Branch (777 Royal Oak Dr Unit 150, Victoria, BC), after which you will be assigned to a permanent branch within the Island locations, which may include Greater Victoria, Peninsula, or mid-island regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service through general retail banking interactions, ensuring members receive positive and personalized experiences.

  • Conduct “Where You Are At Money Chat” to help customers save, grow, protect, and enhance their financial well-being.

  • Proactively promote financial products and services, including low-fee mutual funds, term deposits, RRSPs, overdraft protection, chequing accounts, and electronic banking services.

  • Identify sales opportunities, provide referrals, and collaborate with other team members to meet customer needs.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements through accurate documentation and diligent follow-up.

  • Consistently meet or exceed sales and referral targets in a needs-based sales environment.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certificate in Investment Funds in Canada (mandatory).

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a banking or credit union environment with lending and investment knowledge.

  • Post-secondary education in finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.

  • Strong relationship-building skills and a customer-centric approach.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain high attention to detail.

  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to continuously learn and grow.
