Sandvik Mining is seeking a Critical Parts Expeditor to join its dynamic Parts & Service division. This role plays a vital part in improving customer satisfaction by reducing response time for machine-down orders, addressing sourcing challenges, and ensuring timely delivery of critical components. The position requires a proactive professional capable of managing complex supply chain processes while collaborating across multiple teams and vendors.

The Critical Parts Expeditor will oversee and expedite parts orders, resolve sourcing delays, and maintain constant communication with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This role is a great opportunity for individuals with strong supply chain, logistics, and communication skills who are passionate about supporting the mining industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the customer backlog within the Parts & Service division.

  • Handle critical unit down orders, expedite sourcing and delivery of parts from local warehouses and external vendors.

  • Identify and resolve sourcing issues to minimize downtime for customers.

  • Maintain open and consistent communication with vendors, order desks, and internal teams to ensure accurate ETAs and part availability.

  • Research and recommend alternative part solutions when components are unavailable.

  • Identify and propose continuous improvement initiatives to enhance systems and processes.

  • Support the Order Desk and Sales Team through coordination and follow-ups.

  • Uphold company standards for Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance, ensuring all activities are performed ethically and safely.

What You Will Bring Along:

  • At least 5 years of experience in parts expediting, logistics, or supply chain coordination.

  • Technical understanding of the mining or heavy equipment industry is an asset.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work collaboratively within an integrated team.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
