Description:

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is seeking dedicated Count Team Members to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of cash handling operations within the casino, ensuring compliance with Alcohol Gaming Commission Ontario (AGCO) regulations and company policies. Team members will contribute to a safe, efficient, and professional Count Room environment while supporting the overall operations of the casino.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle cash drops from slot machines, ensuring proper counting, recording, and documentation.

• Transport cash carts to and from the Count Room safely and securely.

• Unlock slot machine doors and bill validators to access cash boxes.

• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all Count Room operations.

• Assist with various Count Room activities as assigned.

• Uphold Hard Rock’s Mission and Values, including Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion, and Dedication.

• Promptly notify managers of any illegal acts or internal ethics violations.

• Promote positive relations with the public and team members.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment.

• Perform other duties as assigned, including occasional tasks on the Casino Floor.

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Strong mathematical aptitude and familiarity with high-volume, fast-paced environments.

• Experience with cash handling.

• Knowledge of computer software and ability to learn new systems.

• Ability to obtain Category 2 Gaming Assistant registration with the AGCO.

• Strong communication, teamwork, organizational, and analytical skills.

• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions: standing, sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, twisting, and confined spaces.

• Comfort working in a regulated, high-noise environment.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• Frequent lifting, bending, twisting, and walking.

• Work in both closed, monitored environments and on the Casino Floor.

• Exposure to environmental factors typical of a casino, including noise.
