Description:
Thompson, Laboucan & Epp LLP (TLE Law), a boutique law firm located in downtown Edmonton specializing in Aboriginal Law, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Paralegal to join their team on a casual basis (1 to 3 days per week). This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a firm dedicated to Aboriginal Law while focusing on corporate filings, compliance, and legal documentation support.
The Corporate Paralegal will play an essential role in preparing and filing corporate documents, maintaining corporate records and minute books, conducting due diligence, and supporting corporate transactions. The role requires a proactive individual capable of working independently, managing multiple tasks, and liaising effectively with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing and filing corporate documents such as incorporations, amendments, dissolutions, and annual returns.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date corporate records and minute books.
Conducting due diligence and corporate searches to support legal transactions.
Drafting resolutions, agreements, and other essential legal documents.
Liaising with clients, government bodies, and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication.
Ensuring compliance with all applicable corporate legislation and regulations.
Ideal candidates will possess:
CORES Level 3 certification (required).
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a corporate paralegal.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently.
A Paralegal Diploma will be considered an asset.
This role is particularly suited for a professional who values flexibility and seeks to contribute their expertise in a part-time, on-site legal environment.
