Coordinator, Corporate Communications

 

Description:

Raymond James Ltd., a leading independent investment dealer in Canada, is seeking a Coordinator, Corporate Communications to join its Corporate Communications & Marketing team on a 12-month contract. In this role, you will assist in developing communication strategies, managing corporate messaging, supporting internal and external communications, and strengthening the firm's brand presence. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for storytelling, strong communication skills, and an interest in financial services.

Responsibilities:

Communication Strategy & Channel Management:

  • Assist in developing and executing corporate communication strategies aligned with business goals

  • Support communication initiatives to enhance brand awareness and corporate reputation

  • Manage internal and external communication channels and distribution lists

  • Provide communications support for technology, change, and transformation programs

  • Conduct research to support communications initiatives

Content Creation & Brand Messaging:

  • Assist in creating compelling content and multimedia assets, including video

  • Plan and execute corporate digital communications

  • Proofread and refine content to ensure clarity, consistency, and brand alignment

Internal Communications & Employee Engagement:

  • Support internal communication strategies to enhance employee engagement

  • Manage corporate communication and marketing channels to ensure relevant content for advisors, clients, and employees

Media & Executive Communications Support:

  • Monitor, track, and report media activities and engagements

  • Maintain and update media lists, including official spokespersons and preferred media outlets

  • Assist in media research, arranging interviews, and managing public relations efforts

Reporting & Performance Measurement:

  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on communication initiatives

  • Ensure alignment of communication activities with corporate marketing plans and business objectives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field

  • 1-4 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or journalism

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail

  • Proficiency in digital communication and social media platforms

  • Knowledge of publishing tools and content management systems

  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills

  • French proficiency is an asset but not required
