We are searching for a talented and professional Community outreach coordinator to foster partnerships, access funding opportunities and increase program awareness, through targeted outreach marketing strategies. This is a Canada Summer Jobs opportunity, to be eligible you must be between 19-29. You will represent the company and work with the senior staff, to develop and implement community outreach activities and initiatives that increase company visibility within the surrounding community.
Ideally, the perfect candidate will have 3+ years experience in a community outreach position, have the ability to market and network nonprofits effectively. Community outreach coordinators can expect to research and connect with important stakeholders, fostering new partnerships with community and funding representatives, to secure funding opportunities, donations and lasting relationships, to increase our organizational standing within the community. You need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and community-driven to take on this exciting role. This position requires individuals with expert marketing, communications, and public relations skills. Additionally, this also requires someone who is equipped with a positive attitude, perseverance and readiness to be a team player. We are ideally looking for someone who is familiar with the Toronto(GTA) communities, networks, local organizations and key individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and maintaining an active plan and calendar, with outreach activities including, prospective collaborative partnership meetings, virtual community events, virtual workshops for all related community outreach activities.
- Marketing our organization to potential partners to increase registration and program awareness.
- Identifying new strategies to promote our organization’s programs to the community to increase awareness and registrations.
- Establish and facilitate collaborations and partnerships with organizations and individuals.
- Seek funding opportunities and connect with funding representatives.
- Develop fundraising campaigns and strategies, write grants & funding proposals.
- Initiate funding and donor campaigns to obtain funding, donations, etc.
- Nurturing new and old relationships with collaborative partners.
- Creating virtual outreach exhibitions in the community and educating employees and community members about our organization and community responsibility.
- Preparing accurate records and reports on the goals of the fundraising plan.
- Overseeing a professional donor management system.
- Assisting in the organization of special events, including donor/volunteer appreciation events and other fundraising initiatives.
- Digital marketing related tasks via social media to enhance community engagement and participant registrations, and overall awareness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or related fields is an asset.
- Preferred experience of 3-5 years within non-profit fundraising and community outreach activities.
- Outstanding written communication and presentation skills.
- Expert marketing skills.
- Expert research and development skills.
- Strong expertise in Public relations and fostering collaborative partnerships
- Strong experience preparing outreach plans and reports.
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
- Strong knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
- Be between 19-29, to be eligible for this Canada Summer Jobs position.
