Description:
The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) is a pioneering organization in Canada, committed to improving health outcomes for BC First Nations communities through self-determination, cultural respect, and transformative health partnerships. FNHA is seeking a Community Health Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care encompassing public health, primary care, and home care within Indigenous communities.
The successful candidate will work autonomously and as part of an interdisciplinary team, promoting health, preventing illness, protecting population health, and delivering curative and palliative care services. This role demands a deep understanding of cultural safety and First Nations protocols, with a focus on meaningful community engagement and trust-building.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Current registration with BCCNM
Current CPR for HCP
Valid Class 5 driver’s license
Remote Nursing Certification (RNC) or willingness to obtain
Familiarity with First Nations health systems and cultural contexts
