Community And Public Relations Officer

 

Description:

  • Develop and create innovative community and public relations strategies to advance SNGRDC’s public image.
  • Writing, communications and maintaining positive public relations is a key responsibility.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Public Relations inquiries including answering, screening calls, interviews, and responding to general inquiries.
  • Prepare content for various SNGRDC websites to ensure that content is accurate and updated.
  • Responds to inquiries from community members and other interested parties; when needed, recruits a knowledgeable spokesperson or information source to assist.
  • Prepare content, layout, and release of communications to stakeholders such as brochures, mass mailings, e-newsletters, event listings, media/public announcements, social media posts and other public relation elements.
  • Maintain files and circulates record of media appearances and publications including print/online clippings, radio, and television appearances.
  • Track media coverage and follow industry trends.
  • Coordinate all aspects of external public relations and research and preparation of communications materials, brochures, media kits, display materials, public relations materials, and direct mail campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain a process of public relations standards within SNGRDC.
  • Organizes community outreach programs and work with Marketing team for coordination of special events that will influence public opinion or promote products, services, or ideas of the company.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive filing system for all files, documents, and materials.
  • Assists and/or coordinates corporate based projects, special events and activities as required.
  • Perform other administrative duties as required.
