Description:
Responsibilities
Provide Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) support for students; create low-tech communication aids; set up and program high tech voice output devices; assist with the training of students, teachers, Early Childhood Educators and Educational Assistants in the use of the devices
Assist Speech-Language Pathologists (S-LP) in providing in-class modeling and support in the use of oral language and phonological awareness activities
Implement individual and group communication, speech and language programs for eligible students; prepare lesson plans, activities and materials; document student performance
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates who have the following qualifications:
Communication Disorders Assistant (CDA) diploma or equivalent
