Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is looking for a Communications & Creative Team Lead to join our team . Reporting to the Marketing Operations Manager , you will focus on brand management, project management, and PR , while defining the brand story and visual identity across all channels. You will lead a small, high-performing team that delivers editorial, design, multimedia, and PR outputs.

This role centralizes intake and workflows, elevates the quality, creativity, and consistency of content creation and design, and amplifies the organization’s brand recognition. By driving measurable impact through strategic PR initiatives, compelling storytelling, and effective digital optimization , the position works cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure a cohesive and influential brand presence.

This position is with Hexagon’s NovAtel Positioning Division, and your work will contribute to the operation of our brands NovAtel, Veripos , Antcom , and AutonomouStuff .

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based in Calgary, Alberta .

Responsibilities

As a Communications & Creative Team Lead, you will be responsible for the following:
 

  • Effectively project manage a variety of initiatives, with a primary focus on brand management and external communications. This includes applying exceptional project management skills to ensure strategies are developed, executed, and tracked from inception to completion
  • Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities
  • Lead development of a content strategy that reinforces our corporate goals and values, informs and engages diverse audiences and helps build our reputation
  • Ensure consistent application of communication and visual guidelines across all communication materials and initiatives
  • Develop and execute comprehensive PR plans to enhance our awareness and thought leadership, including pitches, media engagem ent , and crisis communication strategies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Group M arketing, p ortfolio and campaign management, and diverse stakeholders to ensure messaging alignment and consistency
  • Implement dashboards and quarterly insights reporting to evaluate content performance, channel efficiency, and process improvements; translate analytics into actionable optimizations
  • Lead creative services, including design, graphics, photography, video, multimedia production , and a digital asset management system
  • Manage relationships with creative or PR vendors and agencies, ensuring adherence to standards and cost-effectiveness and exploring the use of AI to enhance efficiency
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, news, and best practices to continuously innovate and optimize brand and marketing strategies
  • Manage intake and prioritization for both content and design work, working with various teams to identify synergies, balance needs, and manage deadlines
  • Maintain a central marketing content and communications calendar, including all content, design, and PR deliverables
     

Qualifications

Must-have:
 

  • Post-secondary degree in Communications, Public Relations , Journalism, Marketing, Creative Design, or related field
  • 7–10+ years in public relations, creative operations, or marketing communications, ideally in B2B technology
  • Media and public relations experience
  • Proven leadership of content/creative teams and multi-stakeholder programs, and experience advising senior leaders and collaborating with technical SMEs
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • The role may involve up to 20% international travel for events
