As the Communications Coordinator you will engage with families to hear and incorporate their voice as we strive to meet their health care needs. You will do so through a number of communication initiatives, including but not limited to: supporting the rollout of CHEO’s social media plans across multiple channels, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIn; creating compelling content for the corporate website and responding to public enquiries; and contributing to family newsletters.

On a project by project basis, assigned by the Chief Communications Officer, the coordinator will also support CHEO staff by responding to the communications needs of the children, youth and families we serve.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Police Record Check (PRC) (Essential)
  • University Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, or Marketing ; or BA with focus on writing (Essential)
  • Minimum three (3) years of related experience (Essential)
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience managing social media channels (Essential)
  • Familiarity with social media and website analytics tools (Essential)
  • Experience developing and executing communications plans (Essential)
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills (Essential)
  • Experience managing or supporting public events (Essential)
  • Competent in Microsoft Office suite (Essential)
  • Proficiency in diverse product development software and hardware (PhotoShop, InDesign,
  • Premiere, infographics, video production and editing) (Preferred)
  • Bilingualism (French/English) (Preferred)
