We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded leader to join our Commercial Performance team, within the Sales Intelligence department at Labatt Breweries of Canada. Our team acts as a strategic business partner to Sales and Executive leadership teams. You will partner with leaders cross-functionally to translate performance insights into in-market actions plans, ensuring we win in a competitive and dynamic marketplace.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the analysis of market trends, competitive dynamics, and commercial performance across categories, channels, and regions.
- Analyzes impact of sales & marketing performance drivers: distribution, displays, features, space, price dynamics, brand health, media spend to develop insights & recommendations
- Transforms insights into recommendations to through simple, visual, and action-oriented deliverables that drives common understanding and aligns stakeholders
- Liaises regularly with key marketing, sales and insights stakeholders
- Understands competitive threats and results of actions in the marketplace
Job Qualifications And Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred; advanced degree an asset
- Minimum 4+ years in commercial strategy, insights, business performance, or related analytical roles (preferably in FMCG, CPG, or beverage alcohol)
- Consumer Packaged goods, beer, wine, or spirits industry experience an asset
- Works well independently with limited supervision and with tight timelines
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills with the ability to engage executive audiences
- Strong analytical toolkit with proficiency in data visualization and reporting (Power BI, DAX an asset)
- Advanced Excel a must have
- Understanding of trade math (ROI, margin, markup, days inventory)
- Strong planning, time management and organizational skills
