Cloud Security Architect

As a Cloud Security Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing Kinaxis’ Cloud security architecture, ensuring robust security for hybrid cloud environments, and developing security roadmaps. You will play a key role in mitigating security risks across cloud platforms, ensuring that all systems meet security and compliance requirements, and offering mentorship to your team.

Responsibilities:

• Design secure patterns for workloads on IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and hybrid cloud environments.

• Act as a technical security expert, guiding the design of secure hybrid cloud computing environments.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and manage cloud security strategies, establishing governance and execution.

• Lead the selection and implementation of cloud security tools and controls.

• Provide security guidance for technological changes and align solutions with corporate strategies.

• Conduct security assessments and develop recommendations using benchmarks like MCSB, CIS, NIST.

• Build and maintain security documentation, diagrams, and processes.

• Identify and implement improvements to cloud security policies and technologies.

• Ensure security risks are promptly identified, assessed, and mitigated.

• Collaborate with domain architects to ensure cloud security is integrated across all solutions.

Qualifications:

Primary Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree/diploma in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

• Minimum 10 years of IT Security experience, with at least 5 years in a SaaS/Hosting environment.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure public cloud platforms.

• Preferred certifications: CISSP, CCSP, Comptia Cloud+/Security +, CISM, GIAC.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Role Specific Skills and Qualifications:

• Familiarity with IT Governance, data governance, and security frameworks (ISO27001, NIST, COBIT, etc.).

• Experience with threat modeling, cloud security frameworks, and working with cloud-native security controls.

• Experience with Kubernetes platforms, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, Packer), and backend/API development (Python, Java, Go).

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
