Description:
S&P Global Market Intelligence’s Data and Research Technology (DaRT) team is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join their Cloud Solution Engineering team. This role supports major technology migrations, including the GenAI initiative, and is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure primarily on Azure and AWS platforms.
The Cloud Engineer will help drive the company’s cloud-native transformation efforts, focusing on modernization, cost reduction, and governance of cloud environments. This is a strategic position working closely with technical leadership, product teams, and cloud vendors, offering significant opportunities for professional growth.
Design, develop, and implement scalable cloud infrastructure solutions using Azure and AWS.
Utilize Terraform for infrastructure-as-code to automate and manage cloud environments.
Configure and manage networking, security, load balancers, DNS, and other infrastructure components in AWS/Azure.
Lead cloud migration and application modernization projects, ensuring security and compliance with enterprise standards.
Collaborate cross-functionally to define project goals and resolve technical challenges.
Automate CI/CD pipelines and monitor cloud infrastructure for performance optimization.
Conduct cost impact analyses and assist with architectural reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT systems engineering.
Proven hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
Strong expertise in Terraform and DevOps practices including CI/CD pipeline automation.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with TechOps and cloud infrastructure management.
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Cloud certifications (Azure or AWS).
Scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation.
Familiarity with Generative AI (GenAI) technologies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Adaptable to fast-paced and changing environments.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
