Description:
We help our clients with numerous types of projects covering a variety of different business scenarios including supporting migration to enterprise cloud data platforms, data for machine learning, analytics, business intelligence, and data governance. The architect will have the skills to communicate and deliver modern solutions to solve different business problem while building close relationships with both client and CGI team members:
- Planning and roadmap development
- Design, deployment, and management of secure and compliant enterprise infrastructure and cloud architectures using Infrastructure-as-Code
- Configure and tune cloud-based tools to manage cost, security, and compliance for the environments
- Provide technical direction to team members to develop- test and implement the solution as per the design and within the specified timelines
- Work across a myriad of technology stacks in Azure, AWS, and GCP
- Deliver against the strategic roadmap for cloud analytics architecture
- Monitor and resolve stability and performance issues
- Conduct testing and data reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of current security and operational measures
- Authoring and peer review of detailed design and security documentation- inclusive of vendor best practices
- Ensure best practices and patterns are being implemented for cloud analytic solutions
- Be familiar with automated orchestration and configuration management
- Coordinate with client teams & engineering teams and other stakeholders to build- monitor- and maintain a secure cloud infrastructure via automation in both production and non-production environments
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent; Masters preferred
- 10+ Years’ Experience – at least 4 years in a Cloud Solution Architecture and Engineering lead role
- Extensive hands-on Azure design and architecture experience including key Azure platform and infrastructure services such as Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Logic Apps, Azure Synapse ASYPS (SQL Data Warehouse-ASDW), Blob Storage, SQL Azure, Azure Stream Analytics Job, IoT Hub, IoT Edge, Azure Resource Group, Azure Data Explorer (ADX) Kusto Query Language, Azure Data Gateway, Data Management Gateway, oAuth, Azure PowerShell, Azure Tabular, Power BI Desktop/Design, Power BI Portal/Desktop, O365, Datazen Publisher, ExpressRoute Networking, etc.
- Experience implementing other cloud native database platforms such as Snowflake, AWS Redshift
- Experience working within container orchestration solutions such as big query, Docker, Kubernetes, Docker, EKS and/or ECS
- Strong hands-on expertise in implementing and architecting scalable cloud solution
- 2+ years’ experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and orchestration/automation tools
- Strong experience with IaaS platform capabilities and services (Professional cloud certifications preferred)
- Experience working within an automated CI/CD pipeline for release development, testing, remediation and deployment
- Experience with vulnerability management tools and data to ensure provisioning of secure- patched resources
- Experience using analytics tools and Elastic Stack for querying, monitoring and alerting
- Experience with agile
- Expertise in at least one primary scripting language (i.e., Bash, Python, PowerShell, …etc.)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment
- Effective documentation skills including technical diagrams and written descriptions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with professional attitude and demeanor
- Critical thinking and ability to balance environmental requirements with mission need
