Clinical Research Coordinator

 

Description:

The Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse supports the operation of clinical studies at the Centre for Innovative Medicine (CMI). Reporting to the pediatric and adult research manager, this role coordinates patient management and multiple clinical trials in collaboration with researchers and healthcare staff. The coordinator ensures protocol compliance, patient safety, and accurate data collection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain informed consent and assess patient eligibility through interviews and medical record reviews

  • Update and complete forms, registers, adverse event documentation, questionnaires, and protocol-specific source documents

  • Monitor patient safety and compliance with medication protocols

  • Prepare protocol-related requests, consultations, and pathology samples

  • Coordinate all aspects of data collection and source documentation

  • Complete research documentation and respond to information requests

  • Provide scientific and protocol-specific training

  • Manage submissions to the Research Ethics Board

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications & Skills:

  • DEC in Nursing (Diploma of College Studies)

  • Membership with the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ)

  • Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Autonomous, flexible, organized, and ethical

  • Experience in clinical research is an asset

  • Knowledge of international, federal, and provincial clinical research regulations (ICH-GCP) is an asset

Additional Information:

  • Work Schedule: 35 hours/week; flexible hours including day, evening, night, and occasional weekends

  • Location: Centre for Innovative Medicine, Site Glen; occasional travel may be required
