Clinical Research Coordinator

Description:

The Division of Orthopaedic surgery is looking for a full time Clinical Research Coordinator for a one year contract, with the possibility of extension. The individual will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a number of research studies, including single and multi-centered research projects. Specifically, the individual will oversee patient recruitment and follow up as well as provide assistance with data analyses, grant and manuscript preparation, protocol development, publication submissions to peer reviewed journals, ethics submissions, and coordination of research meetings. We are looking for a highly motivated individual that works well in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in clinical research with a specific interest in orthopaedics

Basic Requirements (Education/Experience):

• Undergraduate degree in a health-related field
• A minimum 3 years of previous clinical research experience
• Superior organizational and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
• Strong computer skills (Office, Endnote)
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of data and protocol requirements
• Flexibility to accommodate periodically demanding deadlines
• Ability to recruit and communicate with patient participants in clinical studies
• Evidence of training certification in Tri-Council Policy Statement -2 (TCPS-2) and the International Conference on Harmonisation – Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (ICH-GCP)
• Evidence of training in Food and Drug Regulations, Division 5, and/or Device Regulations, as applicable

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience coordinating regulated multi-centre clinical trials
• Knowledge of REB submission process
• Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record
• Experience in musculoskeletal related area
