EXP, a leading engineering and consulting firm, is seeking an Ingénieure ou Ingénieur civil spécialisé(e) en génie maritime et portuaire to join its Structure team within the Building and Industry sector in Québec, QC.
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to complex and high-impact projects related to ports, maritime terminals, coastal structures, locks, dikes, and stabilization works. The selected candidate will play a key role in the design, inspection, and supervision of maritime infrastructure while working in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment that values innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.

Participate in the design, execution, and analysis of maritime and port engineering projects in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Prepare and review service proposals, manage project submissions, and collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
Establish, monitor, and manage engineering project timelines to ensure on-time delivery and client satisfaction.
Conduct inspections and condition assessments of port and coastal structures and oversee construction site supervision for related works.
Prepare technical studies and detailed engineering reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Develop construction plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates for new structures or rehabilitation projects.
Participate in project kick-off meetings and site coordination meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Lead client communications, ensuring alignment between engineering design and project objectives.
Contribute to the development of EXP’s structural design expertise and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental protection requirements in all project phases.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in maritime and port engineering.
Member or eligible for membership with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Solid understanding of standards and codes related to maritime and port infrastructure.
Valid driver’s license for occasional travel to project sites.
Excellent command of French, both written and verbal.
Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork ability, and communication effectiveness.
Analytical, organized, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
