Description:

The House of Commons Administration supports Members of Parliament and their employees in parliamentary democracy. The Chief of Protocol role is part of the International and Interparliamentary Affairs team, responsible for delivering official visits and events for the Canadian Parliament. The position requires knowledge of parliamentary protocol to provide recommendations, organize, coordinate, and execute multiple events involving the Speaker, Parliamentarians, Clerks, and senior officials.

As manager, you will recruit, onboard, and develop team members. You will collaborate with various organizations, government officials, and service providers, fostering sustainable relationships to achieve common goals efficiently.

This role offers the opportunity to witness the results of your efforts in multiple events throughout the year, working with diverse partners and gaining expertise in protocol and event management. It is a dynamic role with constant variety and pace.

Education:
Post-secondary education related to hospitality, international relations, public affairs and policy management, government relations, or a combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
