Description:
Sun Life is actively seeking a Change Specialist to join its Corporate Real Estate (CRE) team in Montreal. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in facilitating strategic workspace transformations across Sun Life offices in Canada and the U.S., ensuring a smooth transition for employees through structured change management initiatives.
Reporting to the Workplace Change Program Manager, the Change Specialist will collaborate with design, strategy, and project teams to support employee adaptation to new workplace environments. The individual will be responsible for developing and implementing change management strategies, leading communications, and supporting various change initiatives to enhance engagement, retention, and workplace efficiency.
Change Management & Strategy:
Design and implement comprehensive change management strategies that drive user adoption and reduce resistance across multiple real estate projects.
Conduct impact and readiness assessments to identify stakeholder groups and ensure smooth change transitions.
Provide expert change management advice and daily support to internal partners and project teams.
Coach and guide leadership (Managers, Directors, VPs) on change leadership practices and stakeholder management.
Communications:
Create compelling communications (emails, presentations, reports) to clearly articulate project vision, benefits, and progress.
Maintain internal change-related intranet content, workplace posts, and email campaigns.
Project/Program Management:
Align change initiatives with project timelines and deliverables within Corporate Real Estate’s project delivery framework.
Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver unified and strategic project outcomes.
Lead employee engagement initiatives such as workshops, focus groups, and training sessions.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field (preferred).
Change Management Certification (e.g., Prosci or similar) is strongly preferred.
Minimum 3 years of change management experience.
Proficiency in communication tools and analytics; ability to use data to shape strategic decisions.
Skilled in employee engagement methods including workshop facilitation and multichannel communication.
Bilingual (French/English) is required for roles based in Quebec.
Familiarity with digital communication platforms (e.g., intranet, video, blogs, podcasts).
Strong interpersonal skills with a talent for influencing stakeholders across levels.
