Description:
CIBC is seeking a Bilingual Specialist, Centralized Financial Planning to join its Wealth Planning Group. This role is ideal for experienced Certified Financial Planners (CFP) who are passionate about providing high-quality, complex financial planning services while working closely with internal partners across Canada. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of financial planning delivery, supporting national projects, and acting as a subject matter expert in a wide range of financial planning disciplines.
This role involves working in both English and French and will be performed in a flexible hybrid working arrangement tailored to optimize performance and collaboration.
Financial Plan Preparation: Deliver in-depth and specialized financial planning advice on retirement, tax strategies, succession planning, life and wealth protection, milestone planning, and more.
Advisory Excellence: Collaborate with Wealth Strategists, Relationship Managers, and Financial Planning Specialists to elevate the financial planning process.
Industry Expertise: Stay current with economic trends, tax laws, and product platforms to provide high-value guidance in a rapidly evolving financial environment.
Client Engagement: Deliver personalized, trust-based advice that strengthens client relationships and aligns with their long-term financial goals.
Collaboration & Communication: Work across departments to deliver structured, impactful financial recommendations in both English and French, using written, verbal, and visual formats.
Process Improvement: Demonstrate initiative in improving financial planning practices, developing new tools, and contributing to the Wealth Planning Group’s national projects.
Certification: Must hold Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the financial planning industry, preferably working with wealth advisors and planners.
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Canadian taxation, corporate and trust structures. Proficient in Financial Planning software such as Voyant or CIBC Goal Planner, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Adobe.
Communication: Fully bilingual in French and English with the ability to convey complex financial topics clearly and persuasively.
Organizational Skills: Strong planning and organizational ability to manage multiple workstreams from initiation through execution.
Mindset: Curious, analytical thinker with a process-oriented approach and a passion for continual learning.
