Category Manager

Description:

Our client, a leading Canadian financial services business, is seeking an experienced Category Manager to support a wide range of Strategic Sourcing initiatives across key Non-IT categories. This includes Professional Services, Staff Augmentation, Marketing, HR, Facilities, and Business Operations.

This is a busy Category area where getting deals over the line will be a priority initially.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies across a broad set of Non-IT spend categories
• Partner with business stakeholders to align procurement plans with company objectives
• Lead end-to-end sourcing events, contract negotiations, and vendor selection
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, while ensuring compliance
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor performance
