The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) is one of the world’s largest and most respected paediatric healthcare centres. SickKids integrates healthcare, research, and education to improve child health, with a focus on compassionate care and academic excellence.

The Staff Paediatric Cardiologist and Section Head of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR) will join the Labatt Family Heart Centre within the Department of Paediatrics. The successful candidate will lead the CMR program, providing clinical care, education, and research leadership in paediatric cardiovascular imaging. This position requires some service provision in general in-patient and out-patient cardiology, with potential inclusion of other imaging modalities depending on training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the paediatric CMR program, providing clinical care and oversight.

• Conduct and interpret clinical paediatric CMR examinations.

• Teach and mentor fellows and other healthcare professionals.

• Undertake innovative and impactful research in paediatric CMR.

• Contribute to general cardiology service provision as needed.

• Participate in integration of clinical care, research, and academic activities.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within Paediatric Cardiology, CV Surgery, Cardiac Critical Care, Cardiovascular Research, and Adult Congenital Heart Disease Programs.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• MD, MBBS, or equivalent degree.

• Completion of subspecialty training in paediatric cardiac imaging.

• Certification or eligibility for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent.

• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

• Eligible for academic appointment at the University of Toronto.

• Proficiency in English.

• Exceptional candidates may be considered for a leadership role within the CMR Section.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: CAD $350,000 - $420,000 per annum.
