Capture Manager

Description:

CAE, a leading technology and simulation company, is seeking a Gestionnaire de Capture (Capture Manager) to lead and secure strategic business opportunities through the Lead to Award (L2A) process. The role involves close collaboration with the Regional Director of Business Development and cross-functional teams to develop solutions, execution strategies, and client engagement approaches that ensure successful contract awards. This position is key to driving major business wins and requires leadership, strategic vision, and a deep understanding of the aerospace and defense industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead complex “must-win” pursuits and large capture teams, developing winning themes and team strategies.

• Manage 2-3 strategic pursuits simultaneously, providing leadership and guidance.

• Develop and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders.

• Execute Capture Management Plan including Price to Win (P2Win).

• Conduct Pursue/No Pursue (PnP) analyses and shape client perspectives regarding CAE capabilities.

• Oversee budgets and expenditures associated with approved pursuits.

• Ensure visibility of key captures to senior management.

• Provide strategic input and leadership throughout capture and proposal phases until contract award.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business, or equivalent experience.

• 10-15 years of experience in aerospace and defense industry.

• Proven experience in project execution and delivery.

• In-depth knowledge of flight simulation and military training systems.

• Strong leadership and team management skills for multidisciplinary teams.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic management skills.

• Dynamic, motivated, and positive personality with strong influencing skills.

• Ability to operate effectively in defense industry settings.

• Fluent in English; French proficiency an asset.

• International travel required, possibly on short notice.
