Description:

The Buyer will coordinate and expedite purchases of materials and services to support operations. Responsibilities include purchasing stock and non-stock materials, assigning vendors and carriers, analyzing vendor data, researching prices, preparing purchase orders and RFQs, and maintaining supplier and product catalogs. The role requires a proactive, self-motivated individual with strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent

  • Three (3) classes in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Designation, or equivalent Purchasing Diploma

  • Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software

Skills and Capabilities:

  • Strong negotiating, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and maintain accurate records

  • Analytical skills to evaluate pricing, quality, and product availability
