Project Overview
Join a high-impact payments transformation initiative focused on Interac e-Transfer modernization (API 3.7). This role will help enable Real-Time Rail (RTR) capabilities and deliver faster, real-time payment experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Business, Fraud, Compliance, and Central 1 teams
- Analyze existing Interac e-Transfer implementations, APIs, and integration flows
- Translate API specifications into detailed technical requirements
- Define API contracts (request/response, payloads, validation, versioning)
- Perform data mapping & system integration analysis across platforms
- Maintain error code mapping & exception handling frameworks
- Identify integration gaps and drive resolution across systems
Required Skills (Mandatory Keywords)
- Strong experience with Interac, e-Transfer, API, Real-Time Rail (RTR)
- 7+ years as a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) in banking/payments
- Experience in API-heavy integrations & microservices architecture
- Strong understanding of Interac e-Transfer 3.7 APIs & RTR lifecycle, including:
- Money Movement Messages
- Request-to-Pay (RTR)
- Deposit / Fulfillment Messages
- Lifecycle & Exception Messages
- Directory & Notification Messages
- Expertise in data mapping, interface design, and system integrations
Nice to Have
- Experience with Temenos T24 or other core banking systems
- Exposure to Azure integration layers
