Iris Software Inc., a leading IT services company supporting global clients, is hiring a Business Systems Analyst (Payments – Swift / MT/MX) for a long-term contract opportunity in Toronto, Ontario. The position is hybrid, requiring a mix of onsite and remote work. You’ll be working on-site with one of Canada's top 5 banks, supporting mission-critical payment systems and processes.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced analysts with a deep understanding of SWIFT MT/MX standards, CBPR+ compliance, and financial payment infrastructures. You will play a vital role in data integration, message transformation, and lifecycle process analysis within one of the most sophisticated banking environments in North America.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a subject matter expert on SWIFT CBPR+ MX and MT messages, including formats like Camt.52, Camt.53, Camt.54, MT940, MT942, and BAI2.

• Perform complex data mapping across multiple financial sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency for reporting and compliance.

• Understand and analyze the payments processing lifecycle, focusing on the interaction between internal banking systems and external networks such as SWIFT.

• Collaborate with cross-functional technology and business teams to support payments-related initiatives.

• Utilize SQL to manipulate and analyze structured financial data in relational databases.

• Translate regulatory and operational requirements into technical documentation and workflow enhancements.

• Contribute to system upgrades, testing plans, and SWIFT readiness for ISO 20022 compliance.

Required Skills:

• Expert-level knowledge of SWIFT MX messages and formats (especially CBPR+ transition).

• Proficiency in message types such as Camt.52, Camt.53, Camt.54, and legacy MT formats.

• Strong data mapping and transformation skills in enterprise financial environments.

• Deep understanding of the end-to-end payments process lifecycle, including clearing, settlement, and exception handling.

• Hands-on experience with SQL for data querying and relational model analysis.

• Familiarity with financial services systems and industry protocols.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently in a high-stakes environment.
