Business Process Manager

 

Description:

Fidelity Canada, a trusted name in investment management for over 35 years, is seeking a Business Process Manager to lead business process improvement and change management initiatives in support of the company’s strategic objectives. The selected candidate will work in a flexible hybrid setup, contributing to Fidelity’s culture of innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.

As a Business Process Manager, you will play a critical role in analyzing, designing, and improving end-to-end business processes. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency, minimize process risks, and promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

Business Process Management

  • Lead discovery and analysis activities for business initiatives, identifying process inefficiencies, pain points, and risks.

  • Facilitate workshops to design optimized business processes that align with compliance, risk, and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop comprehensive end-to-end process maps capturing current and future state workflows.

  • Design business processes that add measurable value and drive operational excellence.

Assignment and Initiative Management

  • Manage business change management projects from initiation to successful completion, ensuring improved efficiency and reduced risk.

  • Prepare detailed documentation, including process flowcharts, target operating models, and post-implementation procedures.

  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to create and deliver training materials for process changes.

  • Communicate progress, updates, and outcomes through effective presentations to stakeholders and senior management.

Collaboration and Innovation

  • Work closely with the Risk team to integrate risk mitigation strategies into process improvement efforts.

  • Partner with business and technology teams to identify automation opportunities that align with Fidelity’s digital transformation goals.

  • Promote business process management (BPM) best practices across departments, supporting technology adoption and operational excellence.

  • Foster relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure initiatives meet organizational needs and enhance client experience.


Requirements and Qualifications

Education:

  • College degree or post-secondary education in Business, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Additional education or certification in Business Process Management (BPM) or related areas preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Process Management, Business Project Management, or Business Architecture roles.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the financial services industry.

  • BPM certifications (completed or in progress) are considered an asset.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong interest in Business Process Management methodologies and continuous improvement.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and drive consensus.

  • Knowledge of finance industry operations and emerging technology trends.

  • Creativity, innovation, and a results-oriented mindset.
