Description:
Sun Life Québec invites you to join a dynamic, supportive work environment where you will help develop and mentor a team of 8 to 15 business development advisors over 36 to 48 months. The focus is on a comprehensive approach combining insurance and wealth management, emphasizing sales growth and client service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, onboard, train, and develop business development advisors during their initial integration and ongoing skill development.
Collaborate with advisors to meet financial and strategic goals such as sales growth, productivity, and client engagement.
Ensure compliance with operational standards across the financial center.
Verify that assigned advisors hold necessary training and licenses and follow product suitability processes to meet regulatory and company obligations.
Recruit, select, train, and onboard new advisors, managing the implementation of their welcome plans.
Escalate client complaints for higher-level assessment and investigation as needed.
Maintain operational efficiency in line with business plans, ensuring contract terms and data-related measures are respected.
Strong knowledge of insurance and wealth management products with a good understanding of the local market characteristics.
Proven sales management and business development skills.
Excellent mentoring, coaching, and performance management capabilities with influence skills.
Strong communication skills (oral and written) and relationship-building abilities.
Experience managing staff through large-scale change in a matrix environment.
Previous experience as an advisor and demonstrated ability to develop successful advisors is an asset.
Experience in leadership roles is a plus.
Excellent practical knowledge of regulatory frameworks.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial services.
Valid life insurance license for the province where the financial center is located.
Willingness to complete branch manager course and qualifications required to register as a branch manager for mutual funds with the appropriate securities commission.
Good standing with applicable regulatory bodies.
Professional financial services designation(s) considered an asset.
Proficiency with various technology tools such as Salesforce and Conquest Planning.
