SHEIN, a global online fashion and lifestyle retailer, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Offline Channel Business Development Manager to join their team in Toronto. As part of SHEIN’s strategy to expand its successful SHEGLAM brand into new territories, this position will be critical in driving the growth journey and overseeing various aspects of sales, marketing, and distributor relationships.
In this role, you will manage a wide range of business development responsibilities, including sales and marketing objectives, distributor relationships, operational processes, and ensuring alignment with SHEIN’s strategic goals. You'll lead the development and execution of the business development plan (BDP) within your assigned regions, focusing on new distribution channels, promotional events, and achieving dollar and unit growth targets.
You will collaborate closely with Key Account/Retail Management, Trade Marketing, and Brand Management teams, ensuring the effective implementation of strategies. Additionally, you'll oversee financial processes such as A&P investment, pricing discrepancies, and inventory management while maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers within the distributor and account network.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Marketing Management: Drive sales and marketing objectives by effectively managing all aspects of portfolio strategy, A&P investment, operational processes, and distributor relationships.
Business Development Plan (BDP): Lead the development and execution of business growth strategies in collaboration with distributors and accounts, including new distribution channels, promotional events, and growth in volume.
Coordination and Collaboration: Work closely with Key Account/Retail Management, Trade Marketing, Brand Management, and Business Analysts to ensure BDPs are implemented and tracked accurately.
Distributor Oversight: Manage distributor efforts to align with SHEIN’s brand guidelines and trade marketing strategies. Monitor inventory levels and support operational and supply processes to ensure healthy stock mix.
Innovation and Trade Visits: Lead innovation plan presentations, targeting portfolio sales growth and presenting clear strategic direction for execution. Conduct trade visits to assess and improve sales and marketing fundamentals.
Financial Management: Ensure efficient accounting processes, including managing A&P investments, pricing discrepancies, and return allowances.
Contract Compliance: Monitor and ensure distributor compliance with SHEIN's policies and contracts.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in sales management or distributor-focused trade marketing. Experience in the Canadian market and/or in the consumer goods or beauty industry is preferred.
Languages: Business-level proficiency in English and Mandarin.
Required Skills:
In-depth knowledge of the beauty or fashion product categories.
Strong research and market data analysis skills.
Understanding of competitors, market trends, and consumer behavior.
Financial knowledge, including understanding P&L, cost of goods, and sales forecasts.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Ability to manage and motivate teams and distributors.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, and business applications.
Strong action-oriented mindset and customer service focus.
