As a Business Development Associate (BDA), you’ll support territory sales strategies, drive advisor engagement, and contribute directly to pipeline generation. You'll work closely with inside sales teams, wholesalers, and other departments to drive growth in designated territories. This foundational role is tailored for someone ready to step into a rewarding and impactful sales career in asset management.
Advisor Engagement & Sales Enablement:
Partner with inside sales reps and wholesalers to support daily operations and territory strategy.
Schedule advisor meetings to align with sales goals.
Maintain and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring timely and personalized follow-ups.
Ensure sales activity adheres to company standards and compliance requirements.
Sales Culture & Performance:
Participate in performance-driven programs to earn incentives for advisor engagement and pipeline growth.
Leverage modern sales tools, including video messaging, as part of performance KPIs.
Collaborate with various internal teams including product, sales, and marketing units.
Event & Campaign Coordination:
Help organize advisor events, webinars, and sponsorships in line with marketing and compliance standards.
Ensure event alignment with company brand and goals.
CRM Management & Compliance:
Maintain accurate CRM data for actionable sales insights.
Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines including NI 81-105.
Administrative & Operational Support:
Assist with scheduling, expenses, documentation, and other support tasks critical to the sales cycle.
Contribute to national and territory-level projects.
Experience: 1–3 years in a sales, client-facing, or financial services role (asset or wealth management experience is a plus).
Education: Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Assets: CSC designation (preferred or willing to obtain); bilingual in English and French is a strong asset.
Skills: Excellent communication, client-centric mindset, strong organizational abilities, proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred), and Microsoft Office Suite.
