Business Configuration Analyst

Description:

Medavie, a leading national health solutions partner, is seeking a Business Configuration Analyst to join its team in Brunswick, NB. Medavie is a not-for-profit organization with more than 8,000 professionals dedicated to improving the wellbeing of Canadians through innovative solutions in insurance, primary care, and emergency medical services.

In this role, the Business Configuration Analyst will work closely with departments such as Sales, Implementation, and IT to design and configure new benefit packages within claims processing systems. The position involves analyzing requirements, ensuring feasibility, providing feedback to stakeholders, and entering benefit data accurately according to approved structures.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Analyzing benefit package requirements and ensuring accurate configuration.

• Setting up new policies and revising existing ones on administrative systems.

• Performing activities related to onboarding new groups and managing revisions for existing groups.

• Responding to both general and complex inquiries from internal/external stakeholders, including brokers.

• Maintaining and updating workflows and tools with proper documentation.

• Interpreting and adhering to business processes within defined timelines.

• Acting as a key contact for decision support and recommending operational improvements.

• Troubleshooting inquiries related to administration service issues.

• Delivering exceptional customer service while collaborating with multiple teams.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Post-secondary diploma/degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field—or equivalent experience.

• 1–3 years of experience in roles such as Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or related fields.

• Strong knowledge of SQL, Discoverer, Power BI, and data analysis.

• Excellent problem-solving ability and a client-focused approach.

• Strong attention to detail with an ability to understand the big picture.

• Exceptional communication skills, adaptable across diverse audiences.

• Positive, innovative, and customer-focused mindset.

• Collaborative team spirit, accountability, and eagerness to learn.

• Bilingualism (English/French) considered a strong asset.
