FOCUS Ressources is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Ingénieur(e) en Science du Bâtiment to join its growing team. This position is ideal for a professional passionate about the performance, durability, and safety of buildings, with a strong focus on the analysis, design, and optimization of systems related to building envelopes and energy efficiency.

The selected candidate will play a vital role in conducting diagnostics, designing sustainable solutions, and ensuring the quality and compliance of infrastructure systems. You will work in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact projects that contribute to the development of sustainable, high-performance buildings across the Greater Montreal area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed analyses and diagnostics related to building envelopes, including façades, roofs, parking structures, and waterproofing systems.

  • Investigate structural or material deficiencies (e.g., water infiltration, cracks, deterioration) and propose long-term, sustainable repair strategies.

  • Develop building management plans (PGI) and asset maintenance strategies to ensure structural integrity and value preservation.

  • Conduct regulatory inspections under Law 122 (façade and parking structure evaluations).

  • Participate in rehabilitation, maintenance, and capital improvement project planning and monitoring.

  • Collaborate closely with technical teams, architects, and clients to ensure seamless communication and project execution.

  • Prepare detailed technical reports and expert assessments, translating complex recommendations into clear, actionable solutions for clients.

Profile & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, or a related field.

  • Active membership with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).

  • 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in building envelope analysis, inspection, or asset management.

  • Strong knowledge of building codes and standards, particularly Law 122.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (CAO/DAO tools).

  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, precision, and client-oriented approach.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive mindset.
