REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Grade 12 and 2 years of post-secondary courses in Bookkeeping or Accounting and 2 years recent related experience. Or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Payroll experience is an asset.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and financial software systems
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to respond to staff and vendors in an accurate, timely and professional manner
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently with little supervision
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple demands
