Bilingual Senior Privacy Advisor

Altis Recruitment is proud to partner with an organization to support the recruitment of a Bilingual Senior Privacy Advisor for a contract opportunity through to March 2027. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced privacy professional with strong hands-on Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) experience who is comfortable working independently within a large, complex organization.

Location: Ottawa & Toronto, ON (Remote; open to professionals who would like to work onsite in Kanata or Toronto)
Job Type: Contract through to March 2027
Language: Strong written and spoken English and French required
Background Check: Secret Level Clearance required as a condition of the assignment

In this role, you'll lead Privacy Impact Assessments across a broad range of business functions, from initial scoping and stakeholder engagement through analysis, recommendations, documentation, and completion. You'll work directly with business leaders, employees, technical teams, HR, IT, marketing, and other stakeholders to understand data flows, identify privacy risks, and support the continued implementation of an enterprise privacy program.

Skills & Qualifications:
• 5+ years of progressive privacy experience
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
• Significant hands-on experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs)
• Proven ability to independently manage PIAs from scoping through completion
• Strong understanding of privacy principles, privacy risk assessment, and data governance
• Federal government experience is strongly preferred
• Experience working within large, complex organizations is an asset
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
• Experience partnering with business leaders, technical teams, HR, marketing, IT, and other functional areas
• Strong analytical and documentation skills with the ability to translate complex findings into clear privacy risks and recommendations
• Strong understanding of technology, data flows, and information management
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence and its privacy implications is a significant asset
