Bilingual Customer Service Representative

 

Description:

The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) is looking for passionate and service-driven individuals to join its growing Customer Care department as Bilingual Customer Service Representatives. This role requires responding to a variety of inquiries from workers, employers, and other stakeholders regarding claims, benefits, return-to-work services, compliance, and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls via an Automatic Call Distributor (ACD) system, providing information and assistance to clients.

  • Determine the nature of customer inquiries and offer accurate guidance on claims, health benefits, and workplace safety policies.

  • Access internal WSIB systems to provide real-time information to clients.

  • Educate customers on WSIB policies and procedures, helping them complete forms and applications.

  • Direct inquiries to the appropriate departments when necessary.

  • Perform administrative tasks, such as indexing documents, sorting mail, sending letters, and tracking call statistics.

  • Occasionally provide backup support for reception, records, and mailroom staff.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience/education.

  • Bilingual (English/French) proficiency required.

  • Minimum one year and five months of customer service experience (call center experience preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Basic math skills to explain payment calculations and rates.

  • Strong communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.
