We are currently seeking a Banquets Captain to join our vibrant Banquets team. In this full-time, permanent role starting June 2025, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring a smooth and seamless food and beverage service experience for our banquet guests.
As a Banquets Captain, you will serve as an ambassador of guest satisfaction and team leadership. This role involves overseeing daily banquet operations, motivating and supporting the team, and ensuring exceptional service standards. You will work closely with the Banquets management team to maintain consistency, quality, and efficiency across all events.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the smooth operation of the Banquets department, maintaining high service standards and guest satisfaction.
Provide detailed and informed guidance to guests regarding menu options, beverage selections, and promotional offerings.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all food and beverage items, preparation methods, and event-specific service requirements.
Motivate, support, and coach banquet team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Provide operational support and leadership in the absence of Banquets management.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Previous supervisory experience in hospitality or food and beverage is considered an asset.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to remain composed and courteous in high-pressure environments.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
BC Serving It Right Certificate (required prior to employment).
Passion for guest service and team success, with a proactive and enthusiastic approach.
