Bakery Team Member

Description:

Cornerstone Co-op is seeking a Baker to join our Bakery department at our St. Paul, AB location. Reporting to the Bakery Manager, the Baker will be responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods, ensuring outstanding customer experiences, and maintaining high food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

🍞 Baking & Production: Prepare a variety of baked goods from scratch, including bread, rolls, muffins, cookies, cakes, and specialty items.
🎂 Decoration & Packaging: Frost, decorate, and package baked goods according to Co-op standards and customer preferences.
⚙️ Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Use and maintain baking equipment such as ovens and industrial mixers.
📋 Inventory & Food Safety: Maintain accurate ingredient inventory, ensure proper food handling, and follow safety protocols.
🧹 Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of baking areas and equipment.
👥 Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service, engaging with members to create a positive Co-op experience.
📅 Flexible Scheduling: Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis.

Minimum Requirements:

✔ Certified Baker or relevant bakery experience
✔ Grade 12 education or equivalent baking/retail experience
✔ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
✔ Strong knowledge of recipes, ingredient measurements, and baking techniques
✔ Customer-focused, action-oriented, and a team player
✔ Honest, reliable, and results-driven, with a passion for excellence
