Backend Developer

Description:

Iris Software Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Java Developer for a Fortune 100 direct client. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in backend development using Java and related frameworks, and will work on developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient backend systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend systems using Java.

• Implement and manage RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

• Utilize Java frameworks such as Spring Boot and Hibernate for application development.

• Work with databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB to manage and query data efficiently.

• Participate in designing, developing, and deploying backend services that are reliable, scalable, and secure.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and utilize version control systems (Git) for code management.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing backend applications for performance and scalability.

Candidate Requirements:

• 7+ years of backend development experience with Java.

• Strong experience with Java frameworks like Spring Boot and Hibernate.

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
