Azure Devops Engineer

Description:

Raas Infotek is seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer for an immediate contract opportunity with one of its esteemed clients in Vancouver, BC. This hybrid role (PST timezone) demands a hands-on expert who can lead DevOps design and operations in a dynamic cloud environment.

The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and other DevOps tools, with strong leadership and troubleshooting abilities to support critical deployment pipelines and platform infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive DevOps solutions using Azure and Kubernetes

2. Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, promoting efficient project delivery and operational excellence

3. Collaborate with development and IT operations teams to optimize software deployment processes

4. Apply best practices in infrastructure as code, configuration management, and monitoring

5. Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues in Kubernetes clusters, Azure environments, and DevOps toolchains

6. Monitor new developments in the DevOps space and recommend improvements to tools and methodologies

Mandatory Skills & Tools:

• Cloud Platforms: Azure (Primary), AWS (Secondary), GCP (minimal use)

• Containerization & Orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker, Helm

• DevOps Toolchain: GitLab, Terraform, Ansible (future use planned), SonarQube, Grafana, Splunk

• Secrets Management: CyberArk, HashiCorp Vault

• Scripting: PowerShell, Bash or equivalent scripting experience

• Monitoring & Logging: Grafana, Splunk

• CI/CD: Strong experience building and maintaining pipelines in Azure DevOps

Skill Requirements:

• Proven track record of managing scalable cloud-based infrastructures using Azure

• Expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and automation

• Strong experience with containerized applications and orchestration via Kubernetes

• Familiarity with networking, resource security, and performance monitoring in Azure

• Team leadership and the ability to mentor in a collaborative, agile environment

• Analytical thinker with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Certifications (Plus):

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert

• Other related DevOps/cloud certifications
