Zenotis Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Azure Data Architect for a contract-based hybrid role in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in data architecture, warehousing, and modern cloud-based analytics solutions. The role involves close collaboration with clients and internal teams to design, implement, and guide comprehensive data solutions, particularly within the Retail, CPG, and Manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement robust data solutions using Azure, focusing on Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, BI Reporting, and analytics platforms.

• Apply advanced data modeling techniques, including Dimensional Modeling (Kimball), Data Vault 2.0, and 3NF, using tools like SAP Power Designer, Wherescape 3D, and Erwin.

• Build and manage Data Warehouse Systems with a strong emphasis on dimensional data models.

• Provide strategic guidance to clients, functioning as a thought leader in data architecture and analytics.

• Integrate modern architectural concepts such as Data Mesh and Lakehouse into practical solutions.

• Collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups, including business partners, platform vendors, and service providers.

• Deliver business value through visualization and analytics, especially with tools like Power BI.

• Lead and mentor technical teams in implementing cloud-based data solutions on Azure.

• Stay abreast of evolving trends and technologies in the Data & Analytics domain.

• Work effectively in an agile delivery environment, showing adaptability and initiative.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 14–16 years of progressive experience in data architecture across traditional and cloud environments.

• Extensive hands-on experience in:

  • Dimensional Data Modeling

  • Data Warehousing

  • Kimball methodologies

• Strong SQL expertise.

• Deep knowledge of data platform constructs including Data Mesh and Lakehouse architectures.

• Proven ability to engage clients in consultative, strategic discussions and influence architectural decisions.

• Proficiency with data modeling tools (SAP Power Designer, Wherescape 3D, Erwin).

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and team leadership skills.
