Automotive Apprentice Technician

 

Description:

Clutch is Canada’s largest online used car retailer, focused on reinventing car buying and selling. The Automotive Apprentice Technician will support the reconditioning team by ensuring all vehicles meet Clutch’s high mechanical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform standardized vehicle inspections (stationary and road tests)

  • Diagnose and assess vehicle issues and damages

  • Recommend vehicle repairs and best course of action

  • Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance (oil changes, brakes, suspension, tires, batteries, etc.)

  • Document repairs and create estimates

  • Follow and help improve Clutch’s mechanical standards


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Team player with ability to multitask and prioritize

  • Desire to learn new skills

  • Familiarity with technology tools like Google Drive, Slack

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
