Automation Developer

Description:

Raas Infotek Corporation is seeking an experienced Automation Developer with a focus on Selenium Automation Testing to join their team in Vancouver, BC. This role involves designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using the Selenium framework to ensure the software applications meet the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Execute Automated Tests: Utilize the Selenium framework to create and execute tests that automate the validation of application functionality, ensuring quality and performance.

• Collaboration: Work closely with software developers and project support teams to identify issues and bugs, ensuring effective communication to address potential defects.

• Defect Management: Create and maintain a database of software defects, track identified issues, and work on resolutions as part of the quality assurance process.

• Testing Strategy and Framework: Participate in the development of comprehensive test strategies, implement new test cases, and contribute to enhancing the existing testing framework.

• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve testing practices, tools, and automation techniques to optimize the testing process and enhance software quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in Automation Testing with a strong background in Selenium.

• Experience in developing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and integrating them with test frameworks like JUnit or TestNG.

• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or another relevant language.

• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and integrating Selenium tests into Jenkins or other automation servers.

• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

• Ability to debug and troubleshoot software defects, identifying the root cause of issues.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
