Description:
The Centre for Race and Culture is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Audio Editor to support their initiative Transforming Perspectives, which aims to bring the organization’s values to the broader community through storytelling. This role involves working approximately 5 hours per week for two months, or until project completion.
The project focuses on transforming raw audio recordings from community events into engaging and immersive audio experiences. These community events are storytelling spaces where participants share their experiences of home, immigration, change, and connection. The Audio Editor will be responsible for enhancing these stories by creating immersive audio elements that bring the narratives to life. The completed stories will be published on the CFRAC website (cfrac.com).
Key Responsibilities:
Edit and enhance raw audio recordings from community events.
Create immersive audio experiences that elevate storytelling.
Ensure the final product aligns with CFRAC’s values and project goals.
Collaborate with the communications team to prepare content for publishing online.
Candidate Requirements:
Strong creative problem-solving skills.
Interest and passion for audio editing, podcasting, or sound design.
Familiarity with common anti-racist thought and terminology.
A keen ear for storytelling and narrative building.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Passion for community work, storytelling, and creative expression.
