North Bay Animal Hospital, part of NVA Canada, is seeking an enthusiastic Associate Veterinarian to join a collaborative team of 3 DVMs and 7 support staff. This role is ideal for a veterinarian passionate about delivering high-quality care while enjoying exceptional work-life balance. The hospital offers a state-of-the-art facility with advanced diagnostic and surgical capabilities, providing a wide range of services including preventative care, dentistry, orthopedic surgery, rehabilitation, hospice, nutrition, and pain management.

This position can be part-time or full-time, with no evenings, no weekends, and no on-call, allowing for professional growth while enjoying a balanced lifestyle in beautiful North Bay.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with clients through active listening, empathy, and clear communication.

  • Perform thorough physical examinations and high-quality diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures.

  • Provide clients with accurate information about diagnoses, treatment plans, preventative care, and nutritional guidance.

  • Maintain and update client and patient medical records through established protocols.

  • Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine, including new treatments, techniques, and best practices.

  • Represent the hospital professionally within the community and veterinary field.

  • Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to foster a positive, supportive environment.


Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.

  • Licensed and in good standing to practice in Ontario.

  • Commitment to high medical standards and ethical veterinary practice.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Two years of clinical experience preferred; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
