Description:
The emphasis of the position is head and neck pathology and pulmonary pathology. The successful candidate will be expected to be actively involved in all aspects of McGill’s academic mission (teaching, research, supervision of graduate students, and involvement in other scholarly duties such as academic and/or administrative committees) and provide excellent clinical teaching and supervision to diverse pathology residents and medical students. They must actively participate in such activities as quality assurance, quality control and quality improvement programs. The successful candidate will also be expected to be involved in intraoperative consultations, and to maintain the highest possible standards of practice including prompt delivery of services to match established performance indicators and turn-around times.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Candidates must have:
An MD degree with certification in Anatomic Pathology (Royal College or equivalent), and licensure or eligibility for licensure in Quebec;
At least one year of post-residency fellowship in head and neck pathology (preferred) or general surgical pathology;
A commitment to teaching and an interest in clinical research and publication;
Bilingual language skills (French and English) are preferred, or a commitment to acquire the necessary language skills to practice medicine in Quebec. Candidates should be able to interact in English and in French with patients, families and health care professionals.
Excellent references and a strong track record of collegiality with co-workers.
