Associate Managing Consultant

Description:

Mastercard is hiring an Associate Managing Consultant – Strategy & Transformation for its Advisors & Consulting Services division in Toronto, ON. This position focuses on delivering strategic, operational, and transformational solutions to clients across industries including banking, payments, retail, and hospitality. The role combines management consulting expertise with Mastercard’s proprietary data, platforms, and technology to drive impactful decision-making and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage deliverables and workstreams for diverse projects across industries.

• Contribute to or develop strategic programs and transformation initiatives for regional and global clients using data-driven insights and technology.

• Build and manage strong relationships with client managers, acting as a trusted partner.

• Deliver business recommendations through impactful client presentations.

• Plan, organize, and structure analysis to address client challenges effectively.

• Lead or co-lead project management activities and external meetings.

• Mentor junior consultants and support their professional development.

• Contribute to Mastercard’s intellectual capital and solution development initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Undergraduate degree with experience in consulting, corporate strategy, business intelligence, product management, or similar fields.

• Experience managing client relationships or internal stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and structured thinking capabilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Strong communication skills in English (and local office language if applicable).

• Eligibility to work in Canada and willingness to travel as required.

Preferred:

• MBA or relevant master’s degree (not mandatory).

• Experience managing workstreams in a collaborative environment.

• Experience mentoring junior consultants.

• Relevant industry expertise.
