Description:

Aon, a global leader in professional services and risk management, is seeking an Associate Director, STG Life Solutions to join its Solutions & Technology Group (STG) within Aon Reinsurance. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in advancing financial modelling, actuarial analysis, and consulting solutions for leading insurance and financial services clients. Reporting directly to the Director, Consulting, this position offers the opportunity to leverage advanced technologies, such as Aon’s PathWise™ software platform, to deliver high-performance computing and actuarial modelling services.

As an Associate Director, you will take on multifaceted responsibilities across development services, onboarding, and business development support. You will build and maintain insurance liability and financial asset models for life insurance companies, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks such as IFRS17 and Risk-Based Capital (RBC). Additionally, you will develop robust reporting and pricing processes, support migration of clients to PathWise, deliver hands-on user training, and produce training materials for long-term client success.

On the business development side, you will actively engage in client demonstrations, tailor models to client needs, participate in industry research, and contribute to conferences and professional forums. This role requires strong technical proficiency, advanced problem-solving abilities, and the ability to communicate complex financial and actuarial concepts effectively to both internal teams and external clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• At least 7 years of proven experience in the life insurance sector, with expertise in modelling, valuation, or consulting.

• Deep knowledge of financial guarantees embedded in life insurance products, such as participating products.

• Strong understanding of IFRS17 and RBC regulatory standards.

• Advanced experience with life insurance product modelling and valuation.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in financial reporting standards across Asia-Pacific regions (Hong Kong RBC, Singapore RBC, IFRS17).

• Strong knowledge of life insurance product types (Participating, Universal Life, Indexed Linked, Non-participating).

• Familiarity with derivatives, financial asset modelling, and Monte Carlo simulations.

• Programming experience with object-oriented concepts (Python preferred).

• Fellowship or near-fellowship status with the Society of Actuaries (SOA) or equivalent.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across global teams and engage directly with clients.
