Description:

IQVIA, a global leader in healthcare data, analytics, and clinical research services, is seeking a talented Associate Consultant in PharmacoEconomics Modeling to join its Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) practice in Mississauga. This role is designed for individuals with strong analytical, research, and modeling skills who want to contribute to evaluating and communicating the clinical and economic value of healthcare technologies, pharmaceutical interventions, and medical devices.

As part of a multidisciplinary global team, the Associate Consultant will collaborate with senior consultants and directors to design and deliver rigorous economic models that support evidence-based decision-making for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. The role combines research, modeling, client interaction, and scientific communication in a fast-paced, intellectually challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement health economic modeling studies, including cost-effectiveness and budget impact models, to assess the value of healthcare interventions.

  • Adapt pharmacoeconomic (PE) models to the Canadian healthcare context.

  • Generate model inputs through literature reviews, data synthesis, and stakeholder engagement with key opinion leaders and subject matter experts.

  • Contribute to the development of deliverables including economic models, reports, abstracts, manuscripts, and presentation slide decks.

  • Assist in the preparation of compelling proposals for new HEOR projects.

  • Collaborate with global HEOR teams and contribute to best practices through the Center of Excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in a relevant scientific or technical discipline (e.g., Economics, Health Economics, Pharmacy, Epidemiology, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Health Policy).

  • 1–2 years of applied research or consulting experience, ideally in health economics or outcomes research.

  • Strong knowledge of health economic modeling and decision-analysis methods, particularly using Excel (including Visual Basic).

  • Familiarity with evidence synthesis techniques (e.g., indirect treatment comparisons).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software (e.g., SAS, R).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in cross-functional, global teams.

  • Bilingualism (English and French) is preferred as candidates will collaborate with global teams and stakeholders.

What You’ll Gain:

  • Exposure to high-profile projects across multiple therapeutic areas and healthcare technologies.

  • Opportunities to learn from experts in medicine, pharmacy, health economics, policy, and data science.

  • Formal and informal training in client engagement, economic modeling, statistics, and scientific communication.

  • A diverse and flexible work environment that fosters professional growth and global collaboration.
